| they will produce a mixture and it has nothing to do with breeding
to a puff.................. the only thing that breeding puff to hairless will do is give you more puppies... I know what the SHOW BREEDERS say but they are wrong a hairless dog does not need a puff for anything ............ the hairless dog has a hairless gene and a puff gene so they are complete in themselves............... the puff has only puff genes and no hairless genes so what can he give to a hairless that the hairless does not have by itself..... NOTHING... breeding hairless to puff will not produce a hairy hairless.................. If you want to breed hairless dogs you use both hairless dogs that way you have two dogs that can add hairless genes to the puppy and that way you can improve the quality of the hairless dog..... hairless to puff breeding you have only one set of hairless genes so you can never better the qualities of your hairless because the puff parent gives nothing to that hairless in regard to hairless qualities--- not even the teeth. The English proved this by breeding hairless to hairless for 17 generations and tried to breed out the powderpuff ....they said they never had puffs but that is not correct.... they usually destroyed them instead of admitting that they could not breed them out of the hairless dogs...... in doing this they perfected the quality of the hairless gene and so this is why England has some of the nicest hairless dogs known............ In the US while the English were breeding hairless to hairless the US breeders were breeding the hairless dog to everything a poodle --- yorkie -- maltase --- IG -- what ever was in their house that had fur because the thought the hairless had to breed to a dog with hair....... SO now the US dogs can look like a cross between any other breed and a the English dogs have the real look of a ChineseCrested..... THIS is the reason my dogs are so nice I breed in the English Blood and use mostly hairless breeding dogs.......... |
